Dubrovnik, known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', is one of the most beautiful and best preserved medieval cities in the world. Surrounded by imposing walls 1,940 meters long, Dubrovnik Old Town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979 and represents a masterpiece of urban planning and architecture.

The city's history dates back to the 7th century, and at the height of its power in the 15th and 16th centuries, the Republic of Dubrovnik was a strong maritime power that rivaled Venice. Today, walking along the city walls offers spectacular panoramic views of red roofs, narrow streets and the blue Adriatic Sea.

Dubrovnik has become even more famous as one of the main filming locations for the series 'Game of Thrones', where it represented King's Landing. Visitors can find numerous locations from the series, including St. Dominic Square, Lovrijenac Fortress and the Jesuit Staircase.

Besides the old town, there's Lokrum Island, just 600 meters from the city, with its botanical garden, Benedictine monastery and natural swimming pools. Dubrovnik also offers a rich cultural scene with numerous festivals, the most famous being the Summer Festival which lasts 45 days.
