Dubrovnik, known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic,' is one of the most beautiful and best-preserved medieval cities in the world. Surrounded by imposing walls 1,940 meters long, the Old Town of Dubrovnik has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979 and represents a masterpiece of urban planning and architecture.

The city's history dates back to the 7th century, and at the peak of its power in the 15th and 16th centuries, the Republic of Dubrovnik was a powerful maritime power that rivaled Venice. Dubrovnik became even more famous as one of the main filming locations for the series 'Game of Thrones,' where it represented King's Landing. Visitors can find numerous locations from the series, including St. Dominic Square, Lovrijenac Fortress, and Jesuit Stairs.
